Start with the essentials. These guides explain the current project and distinguish planned features from available releases.
PILOT HANDBOOK
FROM YOUR FIRST RUN TO YOUR NEXT BATTLE.
Development guide — the reward flows below describe the intended experience. Claims, rewards and Arena are not available on this website. Exact button names and eligibility rules will be confirmed for the playable release.
THE TACTICAL LOOP
MOVE. ATTACK. END TURN.
Explore the original board reference and the decisions behind each turn. Final controls and balance may change.
Original battle HUD concept. Displayed values are illustrative, not final rules.
01 / READ THE BOARD
KNOW YOUR POSITION.
Find your active mech, the enemy and the mission objective. Check HP, available action points and whose turn it is before committing an action.
The board provides the context for the turn. Movement range, attack range and reachable cells should be read together; a visible destination is not automatically a valid move.
POSITIONAPHPTURN
Read the current in-game preview before confirming an action.

01 / DAILY REWARDS
MAKE TODAY COUNT.
A daily reason to return. The planned daily-reward flow lets you review an available task, meet its requirement and collect the reward attached to it.
01
Check today's requirement
Open the daily-rewards area and read the objective before starting. A login reward and a task reward may have different requirements; follow the description shown.
02
Complete the objective
Finish the listed activity and check that progress is recorded. A pending or incomplete objective is not ready to claim.
03
Claim and confirm
When the reward becomes available, review its contents and select Claim. Look for a recorded claim and inventory update before leaving.
What is still being finalized?
Daily reset time, streak rules, expiry, reward contents and claim limits have not been announced.

02 / EVERY RUN, A NEW DISCOVERY
RUN. FINISH. OPEN.
The intended running loop gives each completed qualifying run a treasure chest. The reward experience connects your real-world effort with the world of OVERHEAT.
01
Finish and save your run
Complete the run session and save it. Review the recorded activity before moving to its reward.
02
Check the run result
Use the completed run's result to see whether its chest is ready. If the activity is still syncing or being checked, wait for its final status.
03
Open your chest
Select the available chest, reveal its contents and check the reward confirmation. The website itself does not track runs or grant these rewards.
What is still being finalized?
Qualifying-run requirements, verification, chest contents, rarity chances and reward limits are still to be confirmed.

03 / TAKE THE OBJECTIVE
CAPTURE. SECURE. COLLECT.
Outposts are planned objectives with rewards for taking them. Read the specific objective: reaching a location and completing its capture are not necessarily the same thing.
01
Choose an outpost
Review its location, entry conditions and objective. Prepare your mech for the challenge described.
02
Complete the capture
Follow the displayed capture conditions and finish the encounter. Check the result for confirmation that the outpost was secured.
03
Review the reward
Read the reward summary and complete the claim step when offered. Keep the confirmed result if the inventory update is delayed.
What is still being finalized?
Outpost availability, repeat captures, ownership duration, cooldowns and reward amounts are not yet finalized.

04 / TACTICAL COMPETITION
BRING YOUR BEST PLAN.
Arena is the planned competitive side of OVERHEAT. The same core decisions matter: where you move, when you attack and when you hand over the turn.
01
Review the match
Check the available format, squad requirements and match rules. Choose your loadout before entering.
02
Play the objective
Watch the active unit, AP, HP and turn indicator. Commit movement and attacks deliberately, then end the turn when your plan is complete.
03
Read the match result
Review victory or defeat, match progress and any reward actually listed. A planned Arena does not mean ranked play or matchmaking is already available.
Each campaign is intended to offer progression and rewards. Follow its missions, complete the stated objectives and check what you gained at the end.
01
Read the mission brief
Review the environment, objective and entry conditions. Prepare the mech and equipment suited to that mission.
02
Complete its objectives
Use the board to manage movement, attacks and turns. Mission completion depends on the objective, not only on dealing damage.
03
Review what you gained
At the results screen, check the completion record, rewards and any newly available content. Claim a listed reward when required.
What is still being finalized?
Campaign rewards, unlock order, replay rewards, difficulty bonuses and the final mission list are not yet confirmed.
WHEN A REWARD IS NOT READY
CHECK THE RESULT FIRST.
Pending
Check whether the activity, mission or match has finished recording. Wait for a final result before trying to claim.
Not eligible
Read the specific requirement and compare it with the completed activity. A reward is only available when its displayed conditions are met.
Already claimed
Check the recorded claim and inventory before repeating the action. If a confirmed reward is missing, retain the result details for support.
These are explanatory states for the planned reward experience. Live claim history, support submission and inventory are not connected here.
